Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season are included.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
This explains, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose death started the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- Tyranny and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- Yet, their status as important members in the influential clan could assist the party enter areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The target is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them few options but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.
