I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
