Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor died and three other people were wounded.

The strikes follow nights of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
