19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev won his first trophy for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a difficult period, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in specific - led to him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-term coach Cervara.
Currently working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt after spring of 2023.
Victory also signifies the Russian has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 different events.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is particularly special," stated ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the first title I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and frequent outbursts on court had prompted observers to doubt if his ability to play at the elite level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the final five points to take the lead.
The competitors swapped breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional victory, gained dominance to force a third set.
The opponent defended 4 early opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured victory with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
